Meet Mila Ellsworth
I’m Mila—a proud Kansas City mom of three, with two girls and one boy, and a devoted wife to my high school sweetheart. Born and raised in KC, I’m a lifelong fan of the Royals and the Chiefs, and I bring that same hometown pride into everything I do. I’m also a breast cancer survivor, and that journey has taught me resilience, gratitude, and the importance of making every moment count.
When I’m not cheering on my kids or coaching softball, I’m finding ways to give back to my community. I believe in lifting others up, whether it’s through volunteer work, encouraging words, or helping someone create a warm, welcoming home.
Today, I’m thrilled to be working alongside my best friend as co-founder of KC Porch Gals, where we design and deliver custom porch decorating services across Kansas City. From pumpkin porch décor in the fall to seasonal porch designs for every time of year, my goal is to help busy families enjoy beautiful, hassle-free entryways. I love hand-selecting local pumpkins, arranging harvest decorations, and adding those special touches that make each porch unique.

Meet Gretchen Lombard
I’m Gretchen—a proud Kansas City mom of two, with one amazing girl and one awesome boy. I’m a KC native through and through, and there’s nothing I love more than cheering on the Royals and the Chiefs. From the blue and red of game day to the fall colors of our seasonal porch designs, KC will always be home.
Life took a fun twist when I met my husband in Denver, but we eventually made our way back to the heart of the Midwest to raise our family. I’ve always enjoyed exploring new places, but there’s truly no place like Kansas City—especially when it comes to community, creativity, and that welcoming front-porch spirit.
After years in the corporate world, I realized my passion was elsewhere. I wanted to spend more time with my family and channel my creativity into something that brought joy to others. That’s when my best friend and I launched KC Porch Gals, offering custom porch decorating services, pumpkin porch décor, and front porch styling across Kansas City.
Now, I spend my days designing autumn porch decorations, arranging pumpkin porch displays, and creating warm, inviting entryways for busy families and local businesses. It’s the perfect blend of creativity, community, and Kansas City pride. I’m grateful every day for the chance to follow my heart and help others create porches they love to come home to.
